The club would like to welcome Amy Richards to the position of Head of Operations and Chief Pilot. This role ties together the management of our flying school, our aircraft and infrastructure. Amy has been with the organisation for many years, starting off as a Grade Three Instructor before relocating to Murrayfield to hold the position of Instructor in Charge.
After a year and a half in this role, she was required back at Jandakot where she was given the opportunity to apply her love for teaching when promoted to WAAC coordinator. Before transitioning to her most recent role at the club, Amy was the Instrument Flying (IFR)Coordinator and Deputy Head of Operations.
In the following months, Amy will be working towards increasing flying hours of the private sector. “As Head of Operations and Chief Pilot, I would like to see RACWA improve the private flying side of the organisation. I want members and the public to recognise the potential of holding a Private Pilots’ Licence.”
Amy mentioned that the best part of working at RACWA is “working alongside the fantastic team we have here, who are all working together to make this club great. I can see my team grow as instructors see their students achieving their goals.”
The best way to arrange a meeting with Amy is to email her at arichards@royalaeroclubwa.com.au.
