From all accounts the RFACA conference in Echuca, Victoria last week has received a plethora of positive feedback and good results for not only The Royal Aero Club of WA, but the aviation industry as a whole.
Four flying enthusiasts are a step closer to a career in aviation after being presented with Airservices Learn to Fly Scholarships on Tuesday and The Royal Aero Club of WA is proud to announce that one of our own is amongst these four.
The financial support of the scholarship has allowed previous winners to continue with their flying lessons, obtain their pilot’s licence and accept positions within the industry.
We will announce the winner in May’s edition of Tarmac Topics – check it out when it hits your newsstands.
On top of this, our very own Rod Garnaut was crowned overall champion of the ALACs which coincide with the RFACA annual conference.
Rod was also the wings behind team Australia winning the International Flying Championships against New Zealand.
An exceptional display of airmanship and an overall remarkable pilot, congratulations Rod, you always do the club proud.
