Recreational Aviation Australia’s (RA-aus) come and get it (CAGI) trophy was dropped off at RACWA over the weekend. James and Emily Murphy travelled 5830 nautical miles with the trophy from its last known location at Swan Reach in South Australia.
The CAGI trophy has been circulating since 1990, with this particular version originating in Lethbridge VIC in Jan 2011.
The rules are simple; the trophy is available to any RA-Aus certified pilot, in an RA-Aus registered aircraft, who is prepared to make the journey to retrieve it.
The inbound and outbound legs for the retrieval must each exceed 100nm.
Claimants are required to add a plaque to the Trophy and enter flight details into the trophy book.
